This semester UWF is switching over there intro course to GIS Pro. Pro compared to arcmap, is what you would imagine with any new revamped software. It will take the place of arcmap once everybody weens themselves off it. I was tasked to run through the week 4 lab for the introduction to GIS class. This lab was built around the ArcCollector Applications you can download on your smart phone. The lab calls for the students to collect 5 points of public safety features and create a public safety web map with these features. First I had to create a new feature class on arcmap Pro, I then had to share this to my ESRI arcgis online account as a web feature. From there I took this empty feature class and added it to a webmap and shared it. I gathered data around my neighborhood of fire extinguishers with the app. Immediately after collecting the data, the feature points where available on the web map. From here I was tasked with creating a kml file that would be sharable on google earth. From here I created a map package that could be shared.
