This weeks lab focused on us utilizing arcmap to use some different classification techniques. We used census data and isolated the 65 and up age group and classified using 4 different techniques. I used Natural Breaks, Quantile, Equal Interval, and Standard Deviation. I then created a second map that utilized normalization of square mileage with a count of individuals opposed to a percentage. I think the first map does a better job, without utilizing the normalization. Out of the 4 techniques used, I prefer quantile.
