Mountain Top Removal - Report Week

This week concluded the second project in our GIS Special Topics class. From the beginning, we were required to to create our own 2010 MTR analysis data for a pre-determined study area, which is just a small part of a larger area stretching over 5 states. We took 2010 Landsat information and used a 2005 MTR analysis shapefile for reference, from there we created a new 2010 MTR analysis layer.

Within the map you will find my basemap, individual analysis for my personal polygon, as well as a finished map product online(Which is pictured above). I added an additional layer for USA parks, from local parks to National parks, just to analyze their interaction and proximity to the MTR areas.
