Meth Density Residual Map
This week we used the Ordianary Least Squares tool to comare relationships between the fields that were chosen(29). We used 6 different checks to determine whether or not our field had a relationship with the meth density of the area. The initial 3 checks appeared to be the most crucial. This was our probability, VIF, and coefficient numbers. Then after running a check the 4th check was to use your best judgement, this was a touch step due to it relying on your decision making. Sometimes after removing a field, I would immediately see the effect it had on the model as a whole. Most times it was a positive effect, but every now and then I had to add a value back in. This map took a while, I ended up running the OLS about 25 times all together. I added values back in towards the end I had taken out in the beginning and they appeared to work with the model after removing some of the others.
