This week we worked on dot density maps. They are used to show raw total data for units. Dot size, value, and their location is crucial for proper dot density maps. We were to use the population data and convert it to dot density symbology. We then used the masking tool to eliminate any dots in the waterways. From there we created a clip file that removed the dot features from everywhere but urban areas. I used a dot size of 3 and each dot was weighted to 30,000 people.
